When Samir Handanovic was interviewed by Premium Sports after the match, clearly he was not one of the happiest guys around. He expressed his frustration in the interview:
“What angered me today? So many things. We had a bad game, we need to realize and turn the things around, although it is only the first day”
Then he was asked what went wrong for the Nerazzurri team where he said:
“I could talk about a thousand excuses but I do not like to look for them, we have wake up and prepare for the next game. De Boer said that we were not in top condition? we know that, we did the tour but we had half team, we had little time to train. It is not the fault of the manager but the organization”

“we had little time to train. It is not the fault of the manager but the organization“.
i hope he don’t get trouble for speaking the truth..
That’s exactly what I thought…
you know, I was only watching how they score goals …
Hmm.. What is this? Many players (Handanovic and Ambrosio fx) and the coach have been talking about physical problems and the team not being in superb shape because instead of training together as one hole team they have been touring around… Why hasn’t we managed to get the players into shape? That’s a HUGE problem if this is so!!! Then we’ll end up loosing points to every single team in the league, if we’re not in shape!
Every good GK need a calm and comanding presence, we have it in Miranda, enthusiastic and pacey, we have it in Murillo, tenacious and good reading of the game, half of it are covered by Medel..
But seeing how clumsy both Rano and Dumbro, the rest of the team getting anxious, the mediocrity was contagious, and they all become stupid to surrender to their frustration.
On side note: 5mil wages MI9 should learn a lot from grampalacio how to hold-up the ball for the team.
And that the defense was crap. Slipping and sliding like they were on goddamn ice
