As of Friday, the top four leagues ( England, Spain, Germany & Italy ) will all be granted four automatic spots in the Champions League group stages, Gazzetta dello Sport underline. This will come into play from the 2018/19 season. The whole idea stems from the idea of the Champions League being more of a Super League.
Moreover, the changes will see great financial benefits to those involved. Yearly, Europe’s premier club competition is worth 2.7 billion and this money will be shared with the clubs far more than before.

I am just shaking my head. I don’t know how I should take this news as I have mixed feelings. I knew about this for a few weeks now and I wanted to comment on it here but I didn’t. The epl surly pushed it’s weight around huh! They are so smart in doing it also, that it came into existence without us even noticing. Now that they will lose a ucl slot miraculously they don’t, because you know ucl football just won’t be the same without the big four from worlds (bruh smt ) best league. To be honest though I could be bias because I really dislike that overrated league with all those overrated players especially the English ones. If you doubt me listen to the commentary and you will understand.

Agree Rocco, AND I also get the feeling if we don’t get inn the top3 by then we (and everyone else outside the good company) will struggle aLOT to get inn. The financial benefits of being in CL will be so good that they will leap ahead of the rest…
This is good for italy as a whole but it kinda makes me feel like this whone thing is because English clubs are batching and about maybe losing a 4th spot and uefa is buckling. Whatever though. Having 4 again will be nice.
