In this universe, where Inter broke the then world record fee to acquire Ronaldo in 1997, who then went on to win FIFA World Player of the Year and the Ballon D’or.
That doesnt make him an Inter icon by any stretch.
In many fans minds it does, including my own. Ronaldo was the first big transfer to mark the Moratti era, and at that time was considered by many to be the best player in the world. Seems like a pretty iconic figure in Inter’s history to me.
i don’t think it’s only because of his big transfer, but mostly for his dribbling skill, his act as a striker as well as a poacher… and sadly, i still remember that time when he zigzaging and then fell down before the eyes of miha…
