Davide Santon followed Frank de Boer in addressing the questions of the gathered press ahead of Inter-Southampton tomorrow night.
Tomorrow is a fundamental match for Inter’s future?
“To exit from this difficult situation we must forget Cagliari, analysing good and bad things. We must play thinking only about three points. The first two matches went bad, we, all together have to think that winning is fundamental to go ahead in Europe.”
Why all these problems in San Siro? Too much pressure?
“I don’t think the problem is the stadium. Maybe the problem is on us, since Sunday we controlled the match for 60 minutes creating a few but not following through. After our goal we lost some positions and we got afraid. This hasn’t to happen because we are Inter and especially at home we must control the match entirely not only 60-70 minutes.”
Why the squad can’t react to negative situations?
“The mindset with which we go on pitch is important, we are a strong team but we’ve failed to have the right attitude in many matches. We lost in Europa League not because oppositions were stronger but because we didn’t play with the right attitude. We can make mistakes but the attention must be high for all 90 minutes.”
The atmosphere on Sunday created difficulties for the squad?
“It was strange but I don’t think the atmosphere was the reason of the defeat. It’s normal we would have always the supporters near, but if we lost it was for others reasons, about attitude as I said.”
