Former Inter boss Leonardo spoke on Roberto Gagliardini’s imminent arrival at the Nerazzurri in an interview with Sky Sport: “I don’t think Inter needed Gagliardini, he also may not play. If they took him to play, they were right to bet on a young player, but if it is not like that, they would have been better to leave it there and take him later. Taking him in January could be indicative [of things to come].”

100% agree with him. I just dont really understand with this buy, it seems like it’s just a buy to secure him before juve without considering our need. From what i’ve seen gagliardini is more a cmf just like brozovic (eventhough his physical and technical ability would made him a great anchor), meanwhile what we need is a regista. Someone who can secure the midfield and distribute the ball intelligently. Lucas lwiva and luis gustavo are less preferrable but will be more relatable. Except if kondogbia is surely out of this club this january, then gagliardini will replace him and another regista will come in.
I don’t completely get the fascination with registas. What is wrong with 3 CMs e.g. Bozo – Gagliadini – Mario. When 1 goes forward 1 stays back to compensate etc. We have the forwards to play a 4-3-3 style (I know we lack the fullbacks but that’s a flaw in any system whatsoever we play)
i agree with him. We need a DMF, full backs and possibly a center back.
