Roberto Gagliardini spoke with Italian media as he arrived to Inter’s offices in central Milano to finalize his transfer to the Nerazzurri.
“Yes it’s done, tomorrow I’ll have the medical examinations. It’s a dream that comes true. I haven’t spoken with Pioli yet, we’ll talk tomorrow. My teammates at Atalanta wished me good luck.”

Too early to throw him at the starting line up. even Mourinho didn’t do that with Schneider.
My guess is Pioli will start Medel instead of Brozo, and bench one of Mario/Banega.
My hope is Medel, Mario, Banega trio, as K-dog, Medel-Mario/Banega is imbalanced offensively and K-dog, Mario, Banega is imbalanced defensively …

i’m really amazed how calm and casual this transfer proved to be. We took him from Rube’s grasp, they didn’t fight back, then Milan didn’t try to snatch him from us in the last minute as usual. And even Gasperini was like: “He’s going to Inter, meh, no harm done”. Something’s not right.
The difference is Suning. In Tohir’s era, he would ask Ausilio to get the most possible discount (remember Perisic and Candreva saga), which gave Rube and Bilan chances to come ruin our dealings. Now Suning just opens their wallet.

With Thohir almost every time we pretty much ended up paying a lot more than we initially thought *cough* Kondogbia *cough*. Despite Ausilio’s efforts. Maybe now the rival teams know that overpaying wont break our bank so they just don’t bother.
Non of them think that he is worth 30 mil. I think we overpaid with 15-20 mil.
It is definitely a gamble. I was a great critic of signing Jao Mario for 40m right after we did the same for K-dog. But our gamble paid off, and if Jao continues like this he will easily worth 60m aat the end of season.
Gagliardini has great treats: 1-Italian 2- Serie A experience 3- 22 years young
4- Physical attribute of Pat Viera 5- Proven ball winning ability and vertical passes
If we were not putting the money dwn, Rube or Napoli would.
BTW, it’s not 2 years ago that our whole transfer budget is 30m, we have Suning now ….

and about huge transfer gamble, sometimes we win sometimes we lose. Inter lose it at Kdog for 15 Mil. and win it at J Mario.
According to DiMarzio we’re paying 2 mil for the loan and 20 mil for the purchase option. It’s not 30 and it would have been more than 30 if Milan and Rube got involved.
Unlike Gabi who’s trapped behind the shadows of Candreva and Perisic, Gagliardini will enjoy the lighter competition between him, K-Dog, and Brozo. I believe he will get his opportunity to shine.
And I am so glad that there is no Melo anymore. Cause seeing Gagliardini benched for Melo is the exact feeling of watching GrandpaLacio play while Gabi is glued to the bench…
