According to TuttoSport, Inter have made their decision and will let Ranocchia go. “Inter have decided to let Ranocchia go and to keep Andreolli in defense. the former captain seemed convinced of his departure but has a high salary (2,4 M net) that stops Italian clubs (After Palermo and Sassuolo now Bologna) but not the EPL clubs. Ranocchia wants to stay in Italy and in Premier League he does not want to play for a team that battles to remain in the first division (Hull and Swansea) but a more comfortable team (West Ham). The departure of Ranocchia will allow Inter to save some money in in salary, in case of a sale Inter will gain as well”

The management has only themselves to blame for Ranocchia still being here on high wages. His contract ran out 1½ years ago but for some insane reason they decided to give him a new contract.

Palacio’s contract is almost over so Inter will see it off. He brings a lot of stability and calmness in the dressing room and helps youngsters. He’s also a good sub for the last 5 minutes of the game when we need to hold on to a one-goal lead. He brings calmness and intelligence and knows how to cover spaces and drag defenders. I don’t think his salary is an issue for Sunning.
He wants to go back to Argentina and no argie club can afford his salary right now. They are in the midst of a corruption scandal and some clubs are so broke they can’t even start the new season.
