Manolas is really not someone i would break the bank for.
He is not bad, but Roma will want an absurd amount to sell him to another serie a side. Should be possible to get a better defender from outside serie a for that money who also has more european experience.

I am with you. I never seen him play. But isn’t he kind of short player? I prefer a tall player like Gagliardini that able to distribute the ball well.
But his aggression and passes are magical. He is a true midfield maestro!

To be totally honest if we’re going to invest big I’d like to follow the CSL model. CSL clubs like Jiangsu are only allowed 5 foreign players. So they try to make each of those names count.
Rodriguez is a good left back who could replace Ansaldi in our starting xi and thereby kill off DiMarco’s inter career. Fabinho is a better full back who could replace D’ambrosia in our starting xi. He’d cost a lot more but he’s worth it. The fact he can play DM is a massive plus too.
Manolas would be wicked. Weakening a rival at the same time is amazing.
Verratti is perhaps something of a dream. We should remain wary of saturating our midfield too.
Is anyone else feeling that if Handanovic gets injured we’re in serious trouble? We may want to think about a GK soon
