After theInter–Bologna match, the Nerazzurri coach Stefano Pioli spoke with Premium Sports about his side’s performance:
“It’s always good news when a team believes until the end, that’s the summary of the game. We struggled, we missed the rhythm and the opponent threatened us a couple of times. But the team believed, struggled and finally the right time came. The only feeling at that moment is the satisfaction for their work, seeing my players give their all. We must insist, we have not done anything, 9 wins out of 10 mean a lot but the others are still winning and we cannot help but try to continue this way – although it will be difficult to keep certain rhythms.”
The defense? “We’re working on it, there are so many things where we can improve on, but thanks to the departure of players, we can do it.”
Eder? “Today he was tough, he made sharp runs, especially Eder and Perisic, because the forward has been slow- on the wing and less in the finishing area. But he worked hard, took a chance and it was properly executed but he was unlucky.”
Dinner offered by Brazilian Gabigol? “They said in the dressing room, if there is this possibility, it’s fine. I’m happy for him, he’s working hard after suffering a troubled start. Yes, 343 is better. I just prefer 4231 or 433. It is because our fbs is shit 343 is the best formation and medel as cb we are much better defensively. As long as we get the good results no need to change it.

The point is with 4 at the back, we have much better movements.
It’s worse, because we play with four men midfield, but D’Ambrosio it’s not a midfielder, he’s almost useless in attack and building up play and Candreva it’s not midfielder either. It’s more like we play with three at the back and two wingbacks. This execution from Pioli sucks hard, it will be very different, if the midfield is Kondogbia or Gagliardini in front of the defense, Joao Mario and Brozovic or Gagliardini and Banega as trequartista. But it’s too offensive and Pioli is afraid to risk it, even in the begging of the second half today or on Meazza against relegation team like Empoli.
