My guess is that Mazzola is talking about year 1999. He was Inter’s sporting director between 1995-1999. I think he’s refering that, at least his working relationship, ended with Moratti when he found out that Moratti was taking advice about transfer market from Moggi. He says that Moggi’s advice was “interesting” and at that time Moggi also fooled Moratti that he (not Mazzola like in this artcle) was going to sign for Inter and become Inter’s transfer director. Well, he didn’t and the “advice” he gave was shit. Mazzola refers Moggi as “genius”, but not in a good way.
