Next summer the Serie A TV rights for 2018-2021 will go on auction. There are a number of groups that are interested in obtaining television rights. Sky are waiting for Mediaset to make their move. Sport Mediaset are on good terms with Telecom and could use this relationship to make a bid. Discovery are also interested, and after acquiring the rights for the Olympic games they could invest in Italy. Furthermore, Amazon Prim Video are a strong contender and are looking to make an impact on the market by investing in Serie A.
