Volpi: “Cancelo is ready for the Derby, Gagliardini is ok”

Inter’s Chief Medical Officer Piero Volpi gave medical updates on two Nerazzurri players while speaking to Premium Sports earlier today.

The first player dr. Volpi addressed was Portuguese full-back Joao Cancelo, who has recently returned to full training after having been out for more than a month due to injury: “He returned a week sooner than expected and he is available at the coach’s disposal for the next game.”

As for the Italian international midfielder Roberto Gagliardini: “I talked with the National teams doctors, he only suffered a slight trauma and three stitches was made to his eyelid. It is nothing serious”

Both players are therefore cleared to take part in the upcoming Derby della Madonnina, scheduled to be played on Sunday October 15, 20:45 CET kick-off.
