It will be a Milan derby in the summer to land the signature of Arturo Vidal according to Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
Vidal has just 18 months remaining on his contract with Bayern Munich and is understood to welcome the idea of a return to Italy, where he spent four years on the books of Juventus previously. The German outfit are not looking to tie the Chilean midfielder down to a new deal and do not want to lose him on a free in two summers time so would likely accept less.
The 30-year-old currently earns €6 million per season at the Allianz Arena, a figure not out of reach for either of the Milanese clubs whose respective top earners earn above that.
This season, Vidal has made 30 appearances for the Bavarian’s, scoring six and assisting twice whilst playing a crucial role in helping the team have a 19 point gap on second placed Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
