Pirelli CEO Marco Tronchetti Provera spoke on Gr Parlamento show “La politica nel pallone” on the continued interest from the top clubs in Inter duo Mauro Icardi and Milan Skriniar.
“I do not think that Mauro will go away. He is not only a great player but has also acquired good leadership qualities. It will be a double mistake in the field [to let both him and Skriniar go]. Jose Mourinho wants Skriniar at Manchester United but I hope that Mou will go after other goals instead. We have good defenders at the club and the Slovak’s concentration is an example for everyone.”
Club captain Icardi has long been subject to interest from some of European football’s top clubs such as Manchester United and Real Madrid. Skriniar on the other hand has strongly asserted himself as one of the best young defenders in the game since joining Inter last summer and has attracted interest from the aforementioned Manchester United and their city rivals Manchester City among others.
