Inter Plan To Let Rafinha Redemption Option Expire Before Placing €30m Bid

Rafinha’s first few months at Inter have convinced him. He wishes to remain a part of the Nerazzurri past this June but with Inter’s ongoing financial fair play troubles, redeeming him is a rather difficult task to perform for Inter.

Corriere dello Sport report that Inter want to stick with the Brazilian also and have another idea as to how they can keep him around at San Siro.

The loan agreement signed in the January transfer window had a €35 million (+€3 million in bonuses) redemption option included but Inter plan to let that option expire before making a separate bid for the 25-year-old midfielder. Inter are aiming to tempt Barcelona in to dealing the midfielder with a €30 million (+ bonuses) offer instead. It is unclear whether this will be €30 million straight up or offered in instalments, similarly to how Inter achieved the signing of Matias Vecino in the summer from fellow Serie A side Fiorentina.
