Following the departures of Fabio Capello and Walter Sabatini yesterday, Federico ‘Ricky’ Massara has now left the Suning Group also according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
Massara is regarded as one of the best up and coming sporting directors and began working with Sabatini at Palermo in 2008. He has followed Sabatini about since and replaced him as Roma’s sporting director before joining him at Jiangsu Suning last year.
The Milanese news outlet also took a look at the situation at Inter and what Sabatini’s departure means for the club going forward.
“For the moment nothing will change at managerial level. Sabatini will not be replaced and in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, CEO Alessandro Antonello will continue to operate with CFA Giovanni Gardini and sporting director Piero Ausilio. In short, under the leadership of the Nerazzurri market, Ausilio actually remained alone and in Sabatini he had certainly found an important ally.”
