Despite a deal being all but done with Real Betis, William Carvalho has chosen to stall the move in order to wait and see what developments happen in Inter’s courtship of Mousa Dembele according to a report from Tuttosport.
The Portuguese international could bide his time until when the Chinese transfer window shuts on Friday which could or could not have seen Mousa Dembele complete a transfer to Asia. If the Belgian does move to China, Inter will likely go after Carvalho who they deemed the first alternative to the 30-year-old Belgian, who is keen to sign one last big contract, something he is all but guaranteed if he completes a transfer to China.
Despite alleged interest, no offers have been forthcoming for the Spurs man which is good news for Inter who are looking to get Spurs to lessen their €30 million demands due to the fact they are unwilling to pay so much for a player who not only is not getting any younger but only has just one year left on his contract.
