West Ham In Pole Position To Resign Inter Outcast Joao Mario

During the last couple of days we have seen Portuguese international Joao Mario back at Appiano Gentile following his summer holidays. But this will not continue for long, as the midfielder is on his way out and the number of clubs interested in him are increasing every day – although currently only using a loan deal with the right to redeem.

After Leicester, Real Betis and Everton, now English Premier League side Tottenham has asked for information about the player’s situation. In addition to that there is also West Ham, where Joao Mario spent last season on loan, who have shown interest.

The best solution would be to sell the player outright, but in order to not get a net loss this can only be done through a really good offer above €25 million. The easier solution is to use the Inter formula of a loan deal with the right to redeem and hope that Joao Mario can be consistent for a whole season rather than during shorter periods.

So now it remains to see what team can make the best offer. So, what is the feeling? At the moment West Ham is in pole position, at least according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
