Inter Want €35 Million To Sell Vecino

Matias Vecino is moving ever closer to staying at Inter for another season as the Nerazzurri remain firm on their €35 million asking price, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Vecino made 31 appearances in all competitions for Luciano Spalletti’s side last season but has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea this summer, with new boss Maurizio Sarri keen to resign the midfielder that he coached on loan at Empoli during the 2014-15 campaign.

However there are now little over 48 hours until the Premier League’s transfer window shuts and the Blues have yet to step up their pursuit of the Uruguayan international, for whom Inter will not contemplate making a capital loss.

“With only two days left before the English transfer window ends there isn’t much room for manoeuvre left,” the Rome-based publication wrote on Tuesday. “The only way Vecino can leave Inter is if somebody makes an offer of at least €35 million.

“Inter have become specialists in making profits on their players: only if they are offered a sizeable amount of cash would they consider selling Vecino.”
