Inter legend and current Racing Club sporting director Diego Milito has spoken on the difficulty of trying to postpone Lautaro Martinez’s arrival at the Nerazzurri.
“It was very difficult, we tried until the last moment to keep him until December. It is logical that Inter wanted to have the player immediately, and more in the case of Lautaro, who has come to be the holder,” the former Argentine striker said in an interview with La Nacion.
The exact price Inter paid for Lautaro remains a secret to those other than the clubs, agents and player himself and Milito intends to keep it that way for the time being.
“It is not correct to reveal it but in September it will all be made public. As a matter of respect it is not nice to talk about figures especially as there is an ongoing negotiation with the Liniers to work out the compensation they are due.”
