Joao Mario’s efforts to redeem himself at Inter has started. The Portuguese, in fact, has also said no to the latest offers from Turkey – the most interesting, came from Besiktas, who will try to try until the last days of their transfer window. It seems now destined that Joao Mario will remain with the Nerazzurri, at least until January reports Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The former Sporting Lisbon player, has faced fierce criticism from the Inter fans. He would have said yes to Real Betis, but the Spanish club have set their sights on Rafinha and so this option is also seemingly closed.
Inter, after initially trying to sell him outright, have agreed to let him go out on loan, in an attempt, if nothing else, to re-launch his value from an economic point of view.
At this point, however, it would be counterproductive to keep him on the fringes of the team. After all, Joao Mario remains a Portuguese international, a European Champions in 2016 and protagonist in the last World Cup in Russia.
“He is not training well, but very well.” the Corriere dello Sport reports. Obviously, he remains at the bottom of the pecking order, but the midfield is the department with fewer alternatives so the doors are not closed, quite the contrary, it depends firstly on Joao Mario, who has to change his attitude and availability, explains the Rome based newspaper.
It is probable that he will be excluded from the UEFA Champions League list, but he could be useful in the league, at least until January.
