Keita Balde: “We Wanted To Win At All Costs, Happy To Have Started”

Inter’s Senegalese international winger Keita Balde stopped by Inter TV to share his thoughts on the 3-0 win in the Serie A away against Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

The former Lazio man began by saying how happy he was to have started the match saying: “I am very happy that I was in the starting line-up and playing as a striker. I will play wherever the coach wants me to play, I am very happy for this important win. Spalletti asked me to attack the depth to stretch Bologna’s defence.”

How important was it to score that first goal?

“We played really well, pressing them for the beginning. These matches are matches that once they are unblocked everything becomes much more easier. They occupied all the spaces but after 1-0 everything became much easier.”

Does this win just before the international break help the team to work better?

“It helps a lot, we wanted to win at all costs and now we all leave for our national teams happy.”
