Inter defender Sime Vrsaljko will today be examined by Inter’s medical staff to gauge the extent of the knee injury he sustained while on international duty according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The full back went down 20 minutes in to Croatia’s match with Spain – a game that finished 6-0 to Spain – with what looked to be an injury to his knee.
Post-match, both the player and national team coach Zlatko Dalic confirmed this and also revealed it had been something bothering him for a while and it had just been aggravated.
At present it is unclear how long the 26-year-old could be out of action for but going by other reports, he will miss the game with Parma on Saturday afternoon at the very least. As can be expected, everyone at the club is hoping for a good prognosis from the scans and is hopeful that the summer signing can be back in action as soon as possible.
