Alessandro Antonello, the Chief Executive Officer of Inter, was the keynote speaker of the second Acquanetwork and Wellness summit held in Milano.
The even brought together big names from national and international swimming. Antonello delivered a presentation discussing the protagonists of communication in the age of social media, and how they have changed the pool, sports, marketing and media in general.
A strange event for the CEO of a football club, perhaps, but Antonello was an elite swimmer during his youth. Antonello, an economics graduate from the University of Bergamo, began his career as a chartered accountant working for various businesses throughout Europe.
He first entered the world of sport as the Financial Director of Puma Italia. He then assumed the same role at Inter in 2015. Following Suning’s purchase of the club, he was promoted to Opertations Manager at the club before being appointed as CEO in September 2017.
