Vrsaljko Nearing Complete Recovery, Likely To Return For Milan Derby

Inter defender Sime Vrsaljko is progressing nicely in his recovery from a knee injury sustained pn international duty during September’s international break.

According to a report from Corriere dello Sport, the Croatian took part in training with the rest of his teammates and also took part in the training match.

The Rome based newspaper however warn that this does not necessarily mean that he will be in contention to play on Wednesday night against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.

In all likelihood, the 26-year-old full back will make his much anticipated return to action in the first game after the international break which is the Milan derby.

Vrsaljko arrived at Inter on a loan with a redemption option basis in the summer from Atletico Madrid but his early season at the Nerazzurri has been disrupted by this injury. Despite this, Vrsaljko has made two appearances for Inter to date this season.
