Inter Goalkeeper Handanovic: “We Were Not The Team That We Need To Be”

Inter walked off the field in Bergamo as losers, after a devastating loss against Atalanta. The 4-1 result against the Bergamaschi was more than surprising and raised a lot of questions about team effort, the state of the squad and how the team was formed from the first minute and how it was coached during the match.

The day after the more than embarrassing performance against Atalanta, the staff of Italian Sport Mediaset aired two comments made by Inter’s Slovenian goalkeeper during the post-game interviews.

“We are disappointed and angry,” Handanovic reiterated having put in the most positive performance amongst the Inter roster.

“It is hard to add anything to that. Atalanta were better than us in all areas of the field and we were not the team that we need to be.”
