Inter Manager Spalletti Shoulders Some Of The Blame For Atalanta Defeat

Luciano Spalletti spoke with TuttoMercatoWeb on the sidelines of the Panchina d’Oro award ceremony and reflected upon Inter’s loss and spoke on whether he could have done things differently.

“If I had the answer to that, I would have set the team up differently. I feel very much part of what happened yesterday and probably had to do more all told. You have to analyse what you do, not what others do but as a collective we could have done more. When you win you tend not to analyse any problems but you should always do an in-depth analysis of any result. Overall though we have done very well, the level of football and character has increased.”

Spalletti was then asked about Juventus manager Max Allegri stating that Inter and Napoli are his side’s main competitors.

“Everyone says that but his team is the best equipped to win.”

He concluded the interview by speaking on his

“I did not do anything wrong, so why should I not do it again? I am still in shock, once I am emotionally involved in an event things like that happen, it is a normal thing.”
