Inter are weighing up three different options on how to deal with Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa according to a report from Brazilian news outlet Globoesporte.
The Brazilian striker will return to Inter in January once his loan expires with Santos at the end of this month but what the future holds for him thereafter is very much up in the air.
As per the report, Inter are keen to ensure his next steps are in Europe whether that means they loan him out or just sell him permanently. However, no less than five Brazilian clubs are keen on signing him with Corinthians and Flamengo the most serious about the 22-year-old while Cruzeiro, Gremio and Palmeiras have simply only enquired so far. The report stresses that Flamengo have an advantage over Corinthians due to the fact Gabigol does not want to play for one of Santos’ rivals, which Corinthians are.
The player is expected to hold talks over his future with Inter officials at the club’s Appiano Gentile training base on January 7.
