A little under 24 hours before the match that will decide whether or not Inter will remain in the Champions League, Javier Zanetti is remaining confident ahead of the game tomorrow night at San Siro.
“Before thinking about the result of Barcelona-Tottenham, we must do our duty and win our game, because it will not be easy. We will do our best to get the better of PSV Eindhoven, and then hope for a positive result from the Camp Nou.
“We deserve to qualify from the group, we knew from the time of the draw we were in a difficult group, but we were also aware of our chances, we want to play until the end and we must be confident,” he told Inter’s official website.
He then went on to speak about his role as vice-president of the club.
“My experience as vice-resident is something different from my previous roles, because it does not affect my career as a player but my adventure as a manager. This new phase of my life is important, because many thought I could devote myself only to the sporting aspects, while for me it is fundamental to have a 360-degree vision, to give my contribution in all aspects of the team.
“The biggest challenge is that of sustainability. We are working towards improving this, with many international projects to increase revenues. After a career as a footballer, this new challenge fascinates me a lot, I make my contribution because the team is increasing its revenues and become increasingly competitive.
“Inter has changed a lot in recent times, there have been changes of ownership but I feel very comfortable in transmitting the values of the club to continue this path.”
