Inter’s Brazilian attacker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa is close to returning to the Brazilian loan once again on loan, only this time with Flamengo, according to Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
According to the report, Flamengo are very close wrapping up the loan for the former Santos player who spent last season on loan at Santos, where he scored 18 goals in 35 games becoming the top goalscorer of the Brazilian Serie A.
The player returned to Inter after his loan deal with Santos expired this past December, and he had expressed hopes to try and earn a spot in the Nerazzurri squad, only to be told by the club’s hierarchy that there is no room for him.
Recently Gabigol has been linked with a move to Premier League outfit West Ham but according to Di Marzio they have been overtaken by Flamengo who are now the front-runners to securing the services of the Brazilian player born in 1996.
