Inter’s Lautaro Martinez: “We Need To Move Forward, I Feel Very Important To The Group”

Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has reflected on Inter’s performance in their 2-1 defeat away to Cagliari last night in an interview with Inter TV.

“We need to move forward because that is the only way to tackle the rest of the season. We need to sort out the finer details because it for this reason that we lost today,” he explained.

“I always say that I enter the field with peace of mind but at this moment I have to be more attentive to the situation we are experiencing.

“I feel very happy that I am scoring often but as a team we have to get our heads down, keep working and try to win the next match.

He continued: “We need to think about the Europa League, we will prepare ourselves the best we can and then we will have to think about the league again.

“Next in the league we will face SPAL, a fearsome opponent and then Milan. Our goal is to qualify for the group stage of the next Champions League.”

He concluded by speaking on how he feels in the team.

“I feel very important to the group, but not just now because I’m playing. Even when I was on the bench I helped the team, my job is to get the results we deserve and that’s easier for me to do when I play from the first minute.”
