Tomorrow, Inter management, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti and club doctor Dr. Volpi will sit down with striker Mauro Icardi according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
Icardi has not been in any of Inter’s squad’s for the past five games as he has complained of continued pain in his knee, this despite Inter’s tests on said knee showing that there was no problem with it.
Since firstly not joining up with the squad prior to Inter’s first leg round of 32 Europa League match-up against Rapid Vienna, the 26-year-old has underwent physiotherapy on his knee but the club consider his physiotherapy to be done and now the ball is entirely in Icardi’s court.
The report goes on to state that Inter are not confident that Icardi will take a step toward reconciliation but they will nevertheless try and tell him that they think he can come back and make an impact.
In terms of a contract renewal, now is certainly not the time for it. Although, Giuseppe Marotta will still try and sign him to a new deal until 2023.
