Ahead of tonight’s match with Eintracht Frankfurt, Corriere dello Sport have recalled Inter winger Ivan Perisic’s previous success over The Eagles from his time in Germany.
The former Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg man has played them six times in the past and has never tasted defeat, winning three games and drawing the other three games.
The last time he faced them was back in August 2015 and he scored the opening goal in what turned out to be a 2-1 victory for The Wolves. This would be his final game for the club as days later he would complete his move to Inter for €16 million.
The report also goes on to brandish the Croatian as the leader of Inter in the continued absence of Mauro Icardi. In the five games that Icardi has missed, Perisic has taken on a load of responsibility and although back in January he submitted a transfer request, he is now more central than ever to Inter.
