Inter manager Luciano Spalletti spoke with Inter’s in-house TV channel Inter TV ahead of tomorrow night’s Europa League match against Eintracht Frankfurt.
“If we use our personality in addition to our quality we can get ourselves a result,” he began.
“We have to pay attention to tomorrow’s match. The result usually depends on how you take your first steps in the game, if these are the right ones, the next one will be better.
“Eintracht are a team that know how to play on the counterattack, they are strong. We will have to keep them away from our box to avoid any complications. They typically play with two strikers so we will probably find some space to attack due to this.”
Asked about possible system changes for the match as a result of a lengthy list of absences, Spalletti went on to explain: “Skriniar is a player who can play in midfield while de Vrij can too as he played there as a youngster. D’Ambrosio and Cedric can both play on the wings but we will not make a decision until just before the game.”
There will be a huge visiting support and Spalletti insisted that the Inter home support can help make the difference.
“Our fans will be behind us and this is something that should give us an added sense of responsibility. When at Inter, there is no joking about, you simply have to do the maximum at all times.”
