Mauro Icardi will make a return to action only after the upcoming international break according to a report from La Repubblica thus meaning he will not play in this Sunday’s hotly anticipated Milan derby.
Yesterday there was further contact between Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and Paolo Nicoletti, the lawyer that the Icardi’s have employed to help out.
As per the report, Marotta and Nicoletti’s conversation was largely to do with his return to the field.
Icardi last played for Inter on February 9 in the 1-0 win away to Parma but has not played or even been in the squad since with him officially out with a knee injury although there has been great debate as to whether an injury actually exists, particularly after Inter’s tests showed no damage.
The 26-year-old Argentine has made 28 appearances across all competitions this season and has scored 15 goals and tallied three assists in the process.
