Inter are thinking about handing long-serving defender Andrea Ranocchia a new contract according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
The Italian international’s current deal with the club is due to expire at the end of this season and he seemed absolutely destined to leave although in the past month his situation has changed and he has played more often.
The Inter management team like his attitude, especially due to the fact he has never complained despite not playing as much as he would like and always being ready and performing when called upon.
In addition to this, Ranocchia plays an important role in the Inter dressing room. He is someone who is always positive and focused on the group.
With Diego Godin seemingly set to come in and form a formidable defence with Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij, Inter still need another defender happy with not playing as much but still being capable and Ranocchia has shown this as of late.
