Genoa goalkeeper Andrei Radu has reflected on his side’s 4-0 defeat against Inter last night as he spoke with the gathered journalists in the mixed zone at the Marassi.
“We must not try to find any excuses, we must keep our heads high and be aware of the fact that we are a strong team. This defeat must be an extra motivation for us, to be able to face the next matches with the right mentality,” he said.
“The sending off hurt us but if we had been more compact and concentrated it would not have happened. As I say, We must keep our heads high and prepare for the next matches immediately, which will all be like finals.
“I understand that the fans are angry and we as players have to do more and honour the jersey. We had to be more compact, especially in the second half when we lost concentration and appeared destabilised.”
He concluded: “Inter have played their best two matches of their season against us. We must looked ahead and improve.”
