Ranocchia Set To Sign Contract Extension With Inter

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Andrea Ranocchia is on the verge of signing a contract extension with Inter.

The Italian centre back’s current contract is due to expire at the end of the season but the club are ready to reward him for his performances in the second part of the season and the impact he has on the dressing room.

As per the report, the 31-year-old will soon put pen to paper on a new two year deal that will tie him down to the Nerazzurri through to the end of the 2020/21 season.

He currently earns €2.4 million a season but the new contract will see him reduce his annual salary down to around the €1.5 million mark.

The final details still need to be ironed out but the report concludes that the official announcement should come by the end of this month.

This season Ranocchia has made seven appearances across all competitions in which he has contributed one goal.
