Lautaro Martinez is working toward making a return from injury for Inter’s next game away to Frosinone according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The youngster has missed Inter’s past three games as a result of an injury he sustained while on international duty last month with Argentina.
His absence has allowed Mauro Icardi to start each of Inter’s past two games but it remains to be seen whether Lautaro, who was starting every game in Icardi’s absence, will be right back as a starter again or not.
The Milan based newspaper state that it is doubtful he will given he has not played for a few weeks while Icardi has.
Moreover, he is just one booking away from suspension and with the game with Roma coming up, Inter would no doubt prefer to have him available against the Giallorossi instead.
This season the 21-year-old has made 29 appearances across all competitions in which he has notched nine goals and provided two assists for teammates.
