Corriere della Sera have pointed out something that happened to Mauro Icardi at the end of Inter’s 0-0 draw at San Siro against Atalanta at the weekend.
“There are some gestures that speak louder than words. At the end of the game, while the fans cheered the team under the Curva, Icardi was left behind on the sidelines. It is normal after what happened, after the captain’s armband was removed,” the report from the Milan based newspaper details.
“There is a truce in place, in the locker room and in the management of the striker. Before Christmas the torment of renewal went wild, now the question is what will happen at the end of the season. In all probability, Inter and Icardi will go down separate paths.”
Icardi has made 29 appearances across all competitions this term for the Nerazzurri in which he has contributed 16 goals and provided four assists for teammates.
