Inter Initiate Contact With Lille For Nicolas Pepe

Inter have initiated contact with French club Lille over a possible move for their star man Nicolas Pepe according to a report from French news outlet Le10Sport.

This contact, as per the report, has propelled Inter level with Bayern Munich in the race to sign the Ivorian winger who has been one of the best performers in Europe outside of your traditional top clubs.

The 23-year-old, who is under contract with Les Dogues through to the end of the 2021/22 season, has scored 19 goals and provided 12 assists to teammates in 34 games across all competitions this season and has played a key role in Lille finding themselves in second place in Ligue 1.

Lille’s president Gerard Lopez has recently suggested that it could take no less than €80 million to tear Pepe away from the Stade Pierre Mauroy where Pepe has played his football since mid-2017, having joined for €9 million from fellow French club Angers.
