Lautaro Martinez To Start Over Icardi As Inter Take On Frosinone

Lautaro Martinez will return to the starting 11 for this evening’s match away to Frosinone according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The Argentine youngster has spent the past few weeks out injured and will come straight back in having recovered and resumed training earlier this week thus meaning Mauro Icardi will drop back to the bench.

Martinez’s return will not be the only change that Inter manager Luciano Spalletti will make for the game at the Stadio Benito Stirpe that is due to kick off at 20:30 local time.

Stefan de Vrij will replace Miranda in defence having recovered from his recent injury trouble while the rest of the defence that started against Atalanta will go unchanged.

In midfield, Matias Vecino will drop back and will partner Borja Valero in the midfield two. With Vecino dropping back it has opened the opportunity up to Radja Nainggolan to play in behind Martinez as a trequartista.

INTER (4-2-3-1): Samir Handanovic; Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij, Milan Skriniar, Kwadwo Asamoah; Matias Vecino, Borja Valero; Matteo Politano, Radja Nainggolan, Ivan Perisic; Lautaro Martinez.
