San Siro Will Be Sold Out For Inter’s Clash With Juventus

Inter will be able to count upon the support of a sold out San Siro this evening when they take on Juventus in the Derby d’Italia, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Luciano Spalletti’s side will all but secure qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League if they beat the Bianconeri, who officially became champions for the eighth season in a row last weekend.

And the Nerazzurri will have more than 78,000 supporters behind them as they seek their first win against Juventus since September 2016.

“Last year the sell-out crowd for the match against Juventus earned Inter €5.2 million in gate receipts, and the numbers will be very similar this time round,” Gazzetta said today.

“There were still a few tickets for sale on the club’s website this morning, with the Meazza due to open for business at 17:30 local time.”

Inter came close to recording a famous victory with 10 men in last season’s fixture, only to succumb to a 2-3 loss in the closing stages.
