Fulco van Kooperen, one of the people who look after the interests of Inter transfer target Steven Bergwijn, has confirmed that Ajax are interested in his client.
“The interest is serious, Ajax wants the best Dutch players, so it makes sense that they look for Steven,” he confirmed in an interview with De Telegraaf.
As per the Dutch newspaper, Ajax are ready to pay €35 million to PSV Eindhoven to take Bergwijn off their hands in the upcoming Summer transfer window.
Bergwijn is no stranger to the Amsterdam club having spent some years in their world renowned youth academy as he grew up.
Inter and Ajax aside, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim have all also shown an interest in signing him.
This season the 21-year-old has made 40 appearances across all competitions for PSV. In nearly 3500 minutes on the field, Bergwijn has scored 15 goals and has also tallied 13 assists.
