Gazzetta dello Sport have heaped praise on Inter centre back Milan Skriniar with him set to complete a second stellar season at Inter in the coming weeks.
“Finding defects in his season is complicated. He is the backbone of Luciano Spalletti’s defensive line at Inter, who have done well to tie him down with a new contract that will soon be made official,” the report begins.
“There is only one flaw to his game this season and he has two games left to correct it. That flaw is that he has failed to score a goal yet.”
The 24-year-old joined Inter back in 2017 in a player plus cash deal that saw Gianluca Caprari head in the opposite direction to fellow Serie A outfit Sampdoria, who had picked Skriniar up from MSK Zilina in his native Slovakia just the season before.
Since joining Inter he has made 84 competitive appearances across all competitions in which he has managed to score four goals and tally two assists.
