Inter Striker Mauro Icardi Declines Roma But Opens Up To A Transfer To Juventus Or Napoli

Inter’s Argentinian striker Mauro Icardi, has declined AS Roma’s offer for him but has opened up to the idea of a possible transfer to Napoli or Juventus, Italian broadcaster SportMediaset report.

According to the report, Icardi has declined Roma’s offer after having already declined a move to Ateltico Madrid in La Liga. Icardi wants to play in the Champions League with Juventus primarily, which is why a swap with Dybala is the most logical solution, but he is also prepared to accept a move to Napoli as well, who have made an inquiry.

The former Nerazzurri captain is still hoping to be able to talk to newly appointed Inter coach Antonio Conte, despite the fact that the club have told him in no uncertain terms that he is no longer part of the club’s future plans.

SportMedaset report further that there will soon be a meeting between Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and Mauro Icardi’s wife/agent Wanda Nara, where Marotta will once again reiterate the club’s stance. Should that meeting go badly and neither party is willing to budge, the Nerazzurri are prepared to leave him out of the team for as long as possible.

Inter have slapped a €60 million price tag on the former Sampdoria striker.
