A Move To Juventus Could Be Behind Inter Striker Mauro Icardi’s Legal Action Threat

Following yesterday’s bombshell that Mauro Icardi could resort to legal action for the treatment he has been subjected to at Inter as of late, La Repubblica have provided a further update on the situation.

Icardi and his representatives, as well as the club, trust that the issue can be resolved with benefit for all, but the positions are far away and time is running out.

Icardi holds out, while for Inter it would be great to sell him by June 30 for the purpose of capital gains. On July 8, if Icardi has not already been sold, it is likely he will be summoned for pre-season training to avoid legal action.

The report from the Rome based newspaper then goes on to discuss potential next destinations for the 26-year-old striker.

Atletico Madrid have been in contact directly with him, as have a team from the US and at least one Premier League club. However, no formal offers have been made to Inter.

The only negotiation that is standing at the moment is with Juventus. Inter are asking for money or an exchange with Paulo Dybala, who isn’t convinced about the idea. Inter fear that Icardi’s attempts to free himself are to enable him to join Juventus for nothing.
