Inter have agreed a new three-year deal with forward Sebastiano Esposito to keep their teenage star at the club, according to Tuttosport.
Esposito will turn 17 next week and cannot sign a longer contract until he becomes an adult (18), meaning he will be tied to the club until 2022.
Inter had no intention of selling their academy sensation and wanted to reward Esposito for a ‘monstrous’ season, in which he scored 45 goals in 57 games across various age groups.
Luciano Spalletti also made him the youngest player in the club’s history to play for the first team, handing him his debut against Eintracht Frankfurt in March.
Esposito scored a hat-trick last week as Inter’s under-17s secured the league title with a 3-1 win over Roma, but he also played in the Primavera’s final against Atalanta.
Paris Saint-Germain had been linked with a move for the player but Piero Ausilio has always insisted he is not for sale.
