Juventus Cannot Sign Inter Striker Icardi Unless They Sell First

Inter’s hopes of selling Mauro Icardi to Juventus could hinge on the Bianconeri’s ability to offload several attacking players, according to Tuttosport.

The Nerazzurri have excluded their former captain from the club’s plans heading forward and are in a hurry to sort out his future.

However, Juve do not share their haste and would at most want to spend half of the €110 million release clause in Icardi’s contract.

Icardi would only be interested in a move to Turin should he leave Inter, despite not admitting it publicly, but the Old Lady must move on other forwards first.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Moise Kean and Mario Mandzukic are all potential centre-forwards in Maurizio Sarri’s squad while Federico Bernardeschi is considered untouchable.

Douglas Costa wants to revive his Juventus career after a poor season and Paulo Dybala would only be sold for an irrefutable offer.

Gonzalo Higuain is also back in the fold after returning from his loan spells with Milan and Chelsea.

Without moving some of those players on it is unlikely Juventus would have the resources or the space in their squad to accommodate a deal for Icardi.
