Inter are likely to sell Mauro Icardi for less than half the striker’s real value, La Repubblica reported today.
The Nerazzurri are desperate to get rid of their former captain and could accept an offer as low as €40 million from Juventus.
Juventus find themselves in a similar position with Gonzalo Higuain as they bid to offload him to Roma.
“They were worth €200 million together last summer and now they could leave for less than half that,” the paper said.
Fabio Paratici met Wanda Nara in Ibiza earlier this week as Juve plan a last-minute deal for Icardi on the cheap.
The pair have been in contact for months and it is unlikely Inter will stand in the way of a move, considering their desire to move on a player who caused dressing room unrest last year.
Inter wanted to use Icardi in a swap deal for Paulo Dybala but that now appears impossible, with Maurizio Sarri determined to recover La Joya this season.
Napoli could offer Lorenzo Insigne in another swap deal at the end of the summer but Icardi seems reluctant to accept any destination other than Juventus.
